A former student of my SO tried to recruit him in persuading American businesses to close here
and move to China.
The "kid" is now 30-something, lives in Hong Kong, is a Dutch national, and has an American visa. Works for a corporation with the sole purpose of moving American businesses to China. The former student told my SO that he would be perfect as he has a personality that would help to persuade even the most ambivalent CEOs. And he'd get $100,000 for every business closed.
To his credit, and notwithstanding my SO has serious money problems, he turned him down without stopping to think. Granted, that won't slow down the former student and he'll find another toady to do his work, but I'm really really proud of my guy!
