months. I am sick of all of them already.

Let's just hope that the Republicans do not have a brokered convention and come up with someone better than the four candidates that they currently have!

Obama would most definitely win, but the win would come with cost. Noot would polarize the electorate with his racist rhetoric. I believe old Noot would go full birhter, demanding a copy of Obama's long form BC. I'd say bring it on, I think winning is more important. Furthermore, all the idiot racist/birthers etc will just end up embarrassing themselves worldwide.

Yes, even if Gingrich might be easier to be it is not good to give him a national platform for the crap he is spewing.

i remember 1980.. the common wisdom was that let the Republicans run Reagan, he's unelectable.. well the Iranian hostage situation, and a stubborn recession, took it's toll on the Carter administration.. that was the election that started the rightward swing.. things have never been the same since..

of concern to me, is the unlimited funds of citizens united, the "voter fruad" rules enacted by many states, and the hacking of voting machines.. could make this election anything but certain..

with the Republican domination of the corporate media, (notably fokkks el el), the voters may again vote against their own best intrests

with folks like Karl Rove, expect a lot of dirty tricks.. whoever they run!!

Newt Gingrich is what we used to call a sociopath. The DSM has been rewritten to remove any genetic components from the definition, but go ahead and read this and see if you don't see Newt staring back at you:

So there's our guy, remorseless, impulsive, and unbound by conscience or decency. Once he gets close enough to strike, we should assume that he will attempt to kill everyone in his way to get what he wants.

Remember the saying about "who laughs last, laughs best", and do the celebrating after the election results are in.

I don't like to see any American taken in by a flim flam artist. I don't like to see any hate monger elevated to a position of authority and influence. I'd like to see the Republican Party grow up a little--become the party of Eisenhower and of George Romney again. Republicans will win again in the future, quite probably in 2016, given how history flows. I'd like to see them reject their culture of hate and divisiveness before then.

I'm concerned someone like Newt can find a way to slither through the cracks.
