that probably includes first responders, police and firefighters. They will all be corporate employees and the Any Rand dream will come true.

1. The GOP dreams of a day when there are NO public employees,

no worker rights, NO minimum wage, and we all slave away our days for 10c per hour because it's better than nothing.

2. Thankfully, it should never happen

We went over the hump in the last election, where they threw everything at us including the kitchen sink complete with their right wing cess crap. We won. The baggers are all worn out, and we are creating an average of 1500 progressives per day, while the rethugs are losing about 300 per day.

When we win the house back in 2014, it will prove once and for all that the GOP is on its way to the shitheap of historical repressionist failures.

3. A classic "careful what you wish for" scenario.

I have no doubt most of them wish for something like that because they nurture dreams of being one of those "lords of creation" at the top of the corporate ladder - and not one of the countless poor drones exploited by those people. It never occurs to them that no matter how hard they wish (and, for the most part, even how hard they work), that's never going to happen. The game is rigged.

4. Arne Duncan's cause

I thought someone else would post this. It supports your thesis.
