What is the strictest Gun Control group out there?

All of this fighting made me decide to put my money where my mouth is...and since we'll be expecting some back from Uncle Sam, I'd like to put that money where it can do the most good.

And it's clear, we, the USA, is behaving like an addict over the remotest possibility of any gun control.

So, to hell with it. It's cold turkey time.

I want to donate towards eliminating ALL guns.

Not even for cops (before you call me crazy, I'd like to point out this country, the UK, which also does not arm cops.)

Anyone know any groups?

See, this is where the "ignorance thing" comes back to bite you again. I trained with very highly armed UK tactical police as part of a goodwill agency swap back in 2000.. Not armed, good one

16. Where's my apology? Why don't you stop posting your opinion as "fact"?

When you argue a point from a position of ignorance, any point you may make is tempered by the fact that you sound like you haven't a clue about what you are speaking.

9. Authorised use only

11. Was thinking more of info from the home office:

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/police/police-use-firearms/

Yes, they are strict there compared to here. But I did sell quite a few reloading dies to folks in the UK (mainly wealthier people that they seem to trust with guns and not the 99%).

12. Leaving aside the UK thing...

Yeah, I was tempted to point out that the UK does indeed have firearms-trained officers, that's not the real point of your post. The point was to try and find an organization promoting a total ban on firearms.

Short answer: there isn't one...at least not one with any national presence at all. As another poster pointed out, the organization generally taking the most extreme anti-gun position is usually the Brady Campaign...and they explicitly state that they are not supporters of an outright ban.

You may have to start your own...

13. If you have enough cash I could be convinced to start a non-profit.

Our one goal would be a total and complete ban of all firearms and ammo, even a repeal of the 2A.

IF this is to be a FT job, I'd need at least 250k in startup money.

If it's a total ban you want I may be the only option.

14. Yeah sure, ban ALL guns!

Hunters? Nope.

Target shooters? Out of luck.

Olympic atheletes? Forget it.

Do you have the slightest clue how stupid this sounds?

15. Not as stupid as the gun nuts do

Sometimes to beat an addiction, you gotta throw out the bottle

Guns are the bottle, and America is the addict

Part of me is overreacting due to the outright childish tantrums I've seen the gun nuts go into when someone even thinks we should register guns

I don't think we are grown up enough to have guns

America needs to grow up before it does

18. The current reaction to registration...

...is as strong as it is largely due to those fucknozzles in New York who published the interactive map of permit holders. That moronic, self-indulgent, profiteering act pretty much killed any chance of registration being included in any post-Sandy-Point gun control package.

That really worked good, didn't it?

21. So punish the many for the few for 'safety'

99% of gun owners could be the nicest people who never shoot or harm anyone and yet because of the 1% who do use them in bad ways we rush to ban guns.

Like most Muslims don't fly planes into buildings. And most people on welfare don't drive Cadillacs. Etc.

Wanting the few to control the many because of what a few did is why some here (like myself) have issues with the whole 'gun control' debate. I am for sensible gun control - trying to take them all away is not what I call sensible.

19. Do more good with your money. Throwing into the Great Gun Distraction is throwing it away.

Instead, go to a surplus store and buy a bunch of stuff from the list posted of stuff homeless people need. I can't find it at the moment, but I remember dark blankets and sleeping bags, underwear, and feminine hygiene products, then keep them in your trunk and distribute them when you see those in need.

You will do far more good this way.
