I put in my "Roger and Me" DVD.

It had been a while. There is a commentary track by Moore on it, which I also have on. I've listened to it before. Remember those depressing Christmas Eve scenes at the end? Turns out that day was even more sad and bizarre than we see in the film. He says that in the evening, after bouncing back and forth between Flint and Detroit all day, he and his crew got back to Flint and started to take down their equipment when they saw and ambulance go by. They decided to follow. It went to a restaurant where the Buick Christmas party was being held. A Buick exec had gone in with a gun and shot his girlfriend and someone else, then himself. Moore said the film was depressing enough already, so he didn't include that. And the irony of Roger Smith quoting Dickens . . . Oh dear . . .

1. Really?

I've seen the film several times, but never listened to the commentary.

Has Moore ever mentioned this outside the DVD?

2. No, he hasn't mentioned it elsewhere that I know of.

But check it out if you have the DVD; it's there.
