Watching Rev. Al? This is so distressing. Schools across the country arming teachers

shaking my head.

What have we become?

8. This whole movement to arm teachers is disgusting.

Schools should always be gun free places.

3. I can't even picture how something like this works.

For the gun to be secured so that children would not be able to get hold of it and hurt themselves or someone else would make it difficult to get to in a crisis situation. I just don't think that a teacher should be carrying a weapon.

6. I can't imagine any of the teachers I know ...

... ever agreeing to do something like this, they are all far too responsible to imagine that weaponry would ever be anything but a major safety concern in the classroom!

7. NRA sees an opening to gain power and make $

by preying on fear and our supposed gunly tradition.

Even Crystal Ball on the TV said she thinks it's good we have this love of guns, cuz she represented a rural district.

I think it's time for a CHANGE

9. Nobody will be arming me.

I live in a rural community where gun ownership is commonplace, and my students already know how to use them.

Thankfully, nobody has suggested that we arm local teachers.

If it happens, I'll refuse.

12. Teachers are going to go the way of doctors who perform abortions.

They will be scarce. Almighty scarce. Terrorized out of existence.

This shit is NOT in their job description.
