Randi Zuckerberg posts private photo on Facebook, sees it go public

Mark Zuckerberg's sister, Randi, got stymied by Facebook's privacy policy this week when a photo she posted for her friends was shared publicly over Twitter.

Twitter user @cshweitz shared a photo of the Zuckerberg family checking out Poke, the latest mobile app developed by Facebook, early Wednesday.

The picture had originally been posted on Facebook by Randi Zuckerberg, who expressed her displeasure with the photo being shared publicly on Twitter.

"Not sure where you got this photo. I posted it to friends only on FB. You reposting it to Twitter is way uncool," Zuckerberg tweeted to @cshweitz, according to a screenshot of the tweet grabbed by BuzzFeed.

1. She's obviously irony impaired

She doesn't get the connection between the picture and her brother's lack of privacy concerns.

2. It goes back to the old saying: If you don't want everyone to see it, don't show it to anyone.

There is only one way to insure privacy.

5. These days though...

The saying can be updated a bit to 'if you don't want everyone to see it, don't show it to everyone'...people don't seem to understand how far reaching Twitter and FB and the internet in general are; the eyes you intend to show it to end up multiplying really quickly and easily.

3. wow

and she thinks it is cool to publicly humiliate someone who didn't mean any harm? Especially considering Facebook is all about corruptions of privacy? Ugh.

4. Talk about obtuse! And high handed!!!!!!

Too bad for her--the horse is out of the barn. It's not an "embarrassing" picture in any way--a bunch of self-absorbed wealthy people hanging around the "kitchen island" and surrounded by high end appliances.

Pic is at this link, along with humorous headline: http://gizmodo.com/5971227/randi-zuckerberg-is-just-as-confused-by-facebook-privacy-as-you-are?popular=true

Randi Zuckerberg Is Just as Confused by Facebook Privacy as You Are

Some of the comments are hilarious, as well...
