Gun range planned near 2 elementary schools upsets Loveland-area parents
CINCINNATI — Some parents in southwestern Ohio are upset over plans to open an indoor gun range just 100 yards away from two elementary schools. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the proposed gun range in Loveland is especially controversial in light of last week's massacre at a Connecticut school that included the deaths of 20 children. The range is proposed for what is now a vacant storefront near Loveland Primary School, which has about 500 students in the first and second grades, and Loveland Elementary School, which has about 700 third- and fourth-graders. Concerned parents spoke out about the plan at a Loveland City Council meeting this week. http://www.toledoblade.com/State/2012/12/23/Gun-range-planned-near-2-elementary-schools-upsets-Loveland-area-parents.html

1. It should. Gun ranges cause lead posioning. Which really explains so so much.

2. it's supposed to be an indoor range
|
Lead contamination of the area will be insignificant as long as the range follows proper disposal protocol

4. They don't let bars and

porn stores near school. Shooting Ranges shouldn't be near them either.

5. Agreed, I hope the town organizes
|
does everything they can to stop them.
It's outrages that a shooting range would be anywhere near a school or residential area. Let them go out in the desert. |

10. There are no deserts in Ohio. OTOH, there are plenty of empty coal mines that the gunners could
|
use.
