There is no "Hate Group" list. Unless these people are asking the FBI and Homeland Security to put them on a list and monitor them, which they probably are already doing. The White House petition site has become a place to post emotion filled diatribes with zero substance, like the "petition" for states to leave the USA.

Yes, the SPLC does a great job of reporting on various groups.

No, there is no "official US government list" of "hate groups".

The petition is asking for something that doesn't exist.

If you believe otherwise, please tell us of what this "legal recognition" consists, which government agency is in charge of the list, and what are the consequences of being on this imaginary list.

If this were thefirst time this group threatened to disrupt the dignity of funerals or other obnoxious behavior then ''maybe" you could say people are over-reacting. But they have been preaching their filth for years and People are tired of it.

the Westies actually have a lot in common with where THEY stand on homosexuality, but just get the word from the "liberally-biased media" that the head is a "registered Democrat" (or was ... and thus, they're "liberals" ...)
