3. I was in the kitchen cleaning out the fridge, solo today, and suddenly it started getting dark ...

I thought wow is it 1700 already? Nope. Just the thick clouds moving in and I wanted to see Jupiter tonight.

8. I'm in Frisco up in Collin County......

And it looks like it may have been going on for a little while; I didn't notice it until about 20 minutes ago!

I took a few pictures with my old mobile phone, just for posterity.

19. Did you know Google attaches warnings when you look up a town/city?

Our tornado warning siren went off, so I checked the Google map to see the town they mentioned nearest the storm,
and on the map page, on the left side , there was this:

Tornado Warning for Clarke and Monroe Counties, AL
National Weather Service more info

and when I clicked "more info"
it took me to a map of our area with the tornado warning part outlined in red
which means
I can now see where I am in relation to the storm track!

Way cool.

12. It's snowing in Anchorage.

Woo-hoo! It's been too cold to snow most of this winter. It warmed up to mid 20s today and feels like a heat wave.

15. Snowing hard in West-Central Arkansas.

Temp 29F and dropping.
Predicting 6" - 8" tonight.
already 3 -4 on the ground.
There hasn't been a White Christmas in this area since 1926!

I'm glad I don't have to drive anywhere.
The roads must be a nightmare.

28. Not laughing..

Supposed to pretty windy. Country roads with big ditches are making me a bit nervous for the ride home from work tomorrow.
I guess we've been pretty lucky the last year--still won't stop me from whining about it.
