When can we move all the gun policy discussion

back to the Gun Control & RKBA Group? Maybe after the new year the General Discussion Forum can get back to general discussion?

6. Bingo.

Why any sane, rational human being would knowingly venture into that snake pit is beyond me.

3. I hope gun policy becomes a major political issue that dominates the public's attention.

If that happens, we will need to have it on GD. How could we not?

I'm literally skipping over gun posts by the gun lovers because in my experience they post the same misleading and outright lies about gun violence in this and other countries around the world over and over again. And I am thoroughly tired of seeing the same old photos, diagrams, etc that they compulsively LOVE to post.

We need a LIST of ideal gun control measures we can take now and put on the national agenda. I do not know enough about those measures but I know there are those here who do. Let's see what measures we can all get behind and PUSH hard for passage into law.

4. Then ask the admins to create an anti-gun group

to focus on an anti-gun movement. I think all you need are 10 people to request. Let the group make it a safe harbor for all anti-gun views.

12. I already have signed on to that. But I fear that newbies coming on the DU expecting a full

blown discussion of gun control measures being promoted will try looking in GD and seeing nothing, will think DU isn't on board. I don't want us to be relegated to a little nook somewhere...

What do you think?

7. Why? Don't you consider Gun Control to be part of mainstream conversation these days? nt.

8. Gun Control & RKBA doesn't discuss real gun control. It is mostly an NRA hangout...

from my observation.

Real policy discussions must be made in the light of day. You will find little light there. Moving policy there would be like moving all our political discussion to Free Republic.

9. The gungeon does not policy discuss

And it is now a very serious discussion.

I hoe the admins realize keeping it in hiding helps no one.

10. Remember when General Discussion was a massive flamewar about rape for 3 weeks?

They'll get bored and move on eventually.

13. Because rape and gun control are only important to a few "fringe" people, right?

Like women and children. And men who don't think rape and guns are so great.

16. Nah, it just shouldn't literally be every other thread in general discussion.

That is exactly why we have sub-forums.

15. I think we should send pro-gun people there...

So the responsible adults can have a meaningful conversation without the interjections of NRA bumper stickers.
