1. "W.Germany"?

I find that a little puzzling. Has Mr. DeVito met the year 1990 yet?

3. Anyone can quote from a Brady Campaign poster

Just make sure it says "Brady Campaign" at the bottom instead of "Handgun Control, Inc." or your numbers are rather stale.

5. Maybe the problem is our society and not the guns

Lack of health/regular care, how we treat the poor, etc and so on.

But nah...easier to blame something most people across the world don't use in a negative way and try to control that instead of fixing the real problems.

I think I heard, as well, there was some guy named Lanza involved in the shooting - but we don't really hear about that person (because, well, he was possessed by the devil/demons - the old devil made me do it so let's blame him defense).

6. Both.

Guns we can address somewhat with legislation. "Society" is a little harder to legislate, though the ACA will be one 40-years-overdue change.

....the MAIN problem is the PEOPLE who get the guns because they are TERRIFIED and are even MORE terrified that someone will take away their guns that they got to keep them from feeling TERRIFIED.

five shots you are guilty of cruelty to animals.

In most cultures guns are a tool. In America, guns are an addiction.

Time for an intervention.

11. Danny is right though

The problem is that we have a gun fetish in the U.S. And that is a cultural issue. One way to change the culture is to decide we are no longer going to allow ourselves to go down this route.

I find the argument that "guns don't kill people, people do" rather self-serving. It IS a cultural problem, and it is SO DEEP we can't find the political will to regulate these things and get them out of people's hands. The NRA also is a cultural phenomena. When the NRA blames the culture for creating killers, it conveniently forgets it is part of that culture, and that ANY interest in NOT regulating guns is sparked by that love affair for something that is meant to kill.

18. Melt the Guns

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

XTC from 1982

I'm speaking to the Justice League of America.
The U S of A,
Hey you,
Yes you in particular!
When it comes to the judgement day and you're standing at the gates with your weaponry,
You dead go down on one knee,
Clasp your hands in prayer and start quoting me,
'Cos we say...
Our father we've managed to contain the epidemic in one place, now,
Let's hope they shoot themselves instead of others,
Help to civilize the race now.
We've trapped the cause of the plague,
In the land of the free and the home of the brave.
If we listen quietly we can hear them shooting from grave to grave.
You ought to,

Melt the guns,
Melt the guns,
Melt the guns,
And never more to fire them.

Melt the guns,
Melt the guns,
Melt the guns,
And never more desire them.

22. I would take Mr. DeVito much more seriously...

if his character of Frank Reynolds on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" wasn't constantly waving a gun around.

Seems hypocritical to denounce gun violence at the same time you glamorize it.

26. you I assume won't be seeing any Tarentino movie ever, correct?

I myself do not like Tarentino, though I love Christoph Waltz for many years prior to QT's Inglorious Basterds in German films he made.

but QT is NOT an artiste, but a purveyor of smut and violence in disguise as an artiste.
David Lynch he is not.DAvid Lynch is an artiste' with a very limited fan base as his films are not going for the major bucks QT is.

QT likes the smell of kill. And IMHO likes getting people to think he is more than he is.
No redemption in any of his films. Just 100% violence.

IMHO
and its all pure fiction. epecially IB.It is all just over the top

QT gets off rolling in all the money he makes from his films I bet.

35. Lynch is my favorite director, but I like tarentino too.

not sure what your angle is here. Tarentino uses cliches and pop culture as his pallette. Watch Jackie Brown and the satire of the whole gun culture he eviscerates. IT only looks like exploitation if you're not paying attention.

A poster was created in 1980 by Rick Boyko after John Lennon's assassination with those statistics.
