Ridiculous.

(10,164 posts)I'm a staunch advocate of extending the requirement for a background check to private firearms transactions, including those between private parties at gun shows.

(3,526 posts)....with undercover LEOs just looking for a reason to bust someone. Not a good place to start trouble.
There are very few issues at gun shows because some of the sellers and sellers don't want to attract attention to transactions that are going on outside the legal framework.
Just my opinion, but if anyone brings a loaded weapon to a gun show they're either stupid, or looking for trouble, or both.

(3,526 posts)....otherwise, their military weapons are locked up in armories.
But, off-duty soldiers seem to have the same or worse numbers involving shootings with their personal weapons than their civilian counterparts. Remember, a lot of these folks have deployed into combat zones more than once, and because of PTSD they tend to get angry a little quicker than most.

(1,372 posts)But you are correct and here is what I found:
The most natural phrase would be "Democratic primary" with a large 'D' to distinguish it from a primary that was run in a democratic manner. But many conservative Republicans say "Democrat party." It's almost a litmus test for right-wingedness. Listen to the Limbaughs and other liberal-haters, and they always say "Democrat party" and "Democrat politician" whereas more neutral people or moderate Republicans say the nicer-sounding and more natural "Democratic primary."

what neighborhood do you live in? because most americans are thoughtful, kind, and honest people who aren't suspicious of every person they see.

If this sort of thinking doesn't stop, we're headed quickly for a very harsh police state, and the nuts will have us in a civil war soon too.

(4 posts)There is also quite a massive difference between being alarmed and feeling threatened (assuming this would even be the case, and that's another implication), and actually acting upon that feeling of alarm by pulling out your gun. There is no evidence to suggest that any of what is suggested in the image would actually happen.

(1,009 posts)with Trayvon Martin. Here was George Zimmerman, itching to use his gun in some SYG capacity. He had to find a reason to use his gun, and black teenager in a hoodie talking on the phone with his girlfriend while eating some candy was the reason.
That's the problem with people with guns. They want to use them.
