Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Fri Dec 21, 2012, 12:20 PM

We should ask ourselves every single day,

"What are Democrats passionately fighting for today that will actually HELP us?"

Not just withhold or slightly soften another corporate assault...

...but actually REVERSE the rightward march and the trend of austerity, IMPROVE the lives of people, and hold the bankers accountable.

What are Democrats fighting for today that will IMPROVE our lives?

We should also ask ourselves if speaking in cliches that advocate nothing is the best use of our time?

6. So true.

Democrats should be talking about increasing Social Security payments, not cutting them. Lowering the Medicare age, not raising it.
