Last edited Fri Dec 21, 2012, 12:36 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) He liked me, however, as I was "Mommy" to him after he was rescued from a crack house
and weaned too young. I bottle-fed him, so we had that bonding thing going on. He grew to be a burly fellow, a holy terror who wouldn't hesitate to beat up very large dogs who dared to come into HIS territory. Yet he'd let me hold him like a baby. They are extremely smart cats, and if you are their "people", they can be quite affectionate. He looked like a more-rugged version of this one: ![]() |

Last edited Fri Dec 21, 2012, 10:25 AM USA/ET - Edit history (2) I just might adopt a snowshoe kitten just to defy my wife. My sister has two huge Maine Coon cats and they don't like my son (maybe because he's 3. They actually prefer gentle people - and my son was a bit rambunctious with the cats)
My other sister has a dog - never met him or seen my youngest niece - they all live in Israel. My question is this: is there a snowshoe siamese rescue I could contact? One other question that *MAY* convince my wife - are they good mousers? |

|
Our siamese finds mice fascinating (we've had two incursions due to construction in the neighborhood) but we don't let her hunt (mice in our part of the world carry several diseases.)
They are talkative, though, and bond closely with their people. They're also very clever. |

|
That looks a LOT like the stray I adopted. I assumed she was a Siamese with something else mixed in.
She has a Zorro mask...everything from her eyes up to the top of her ears is black, rather than around her mouth like a Siamese. I never thought to see another cat like her. That's the living image of Cat-Hole (so named because she sank her fangs into me once.) |

he nabbed her and put her in the stocking hat he was wearing which had the Mossimo logo on it, so I thught that needed to be her name.
It's an old Italian name, and it actually the first name of the designer of the brand -- Mossimo Giannulli. |
