Chinese State Media Demands US Citizens Be Disarmed
Apparently there's an international outcry demanding better gun control in the US.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/12/18/China-Demands-US-Citizens-Be-Disarmed The official Chinese government news agency, Xinhua, has demanded the US immediately adopt stricter gun control measures to reduce the number of firearms the US populace is permitted to possess. The Chinese state-controlled media’s statement, titled “Innocent Blood Demands No Delay for US Gun Control,” is primarily focused on the Newtown tragedy in which 26 Americans were killed by a mad gunman. Twenty of the victims were young children.

5. Is China just trying to stir the pot here?

I don't know why they would have an interest in this otherwise.

6. Doesn't carry much weight, coming from a government that is afraid of its own citizens.

How tight is their internet-censorship?
A few months ago, a chinese politician was embroiled in a scandal and went into hiding. The official explanation for his retreat from public view was backache. Soon the forums and blogs boiled up with speculations. What did the censors do? They blocked the politician's name and THE WORD "BACKACHE". You could no longer post something containing either of those words. (People started nicknaming him "the prince" to work around this.) |

7. If it were a long standing ally
|
It would be something of importance.
If that ally had taken out an ad in Mother Jones to make that statement - it would be important. Sorry - I know a lot of folks believe the government of China is benevolent and have only the best interests of Americans at heart - but I'm not one of them. And Breitbart is a bunch of lying maggots. So - can you post another link to a new source that didn't totally screw over Shirley Sherrod with it's blatant racism and propaganda ginning up hate in America? |

8. Because it is better to roll the tanks that way, I reckon. Cuts down on resistance, see.

China is a strong rationale for a well armed population.
