Depressed, multi-gun owner kills wife and son in murder suicide in KCMO

3 bodies found in home, police suspect murder-suicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Clay County Sheriff deputies said they are investigating after three bodies were found in a home Monday.

Police said the victims were a married couple and 14-year-old boy. The boy and the female victim were found shot to death in their beds. The man was found dead in a living area of the home.

Family members told police that the man might have been depressed.

Several guns ranging from pistols to rifles were found inside the home.

5. A Story That's "Too Common"...

...yet another despondent adult who sees the gun as the answer to what's hurting them...and to take out others as either some kind of punishment to "this world" or to have them join him wherever. These stories seem to pop up in our local papers or on the teevee...yet another sad story that seems so routine these days. And it doesn't matter where...California, Florida, Illinois, Missouri...domestic murders with guns are rising but since the suffering is localized it doesn't have the impact as to what we're seeing going on in Newtown. It's a sad sign of our times...and once again and example of where somewhere suffering from a mental illness looked for "2nd ammendment" remedies...and a society that looks upon mental illness as a personal weakness....

6. Maybe it's time we start public service announcements.

If you're depressed and thinking of killing yourself or anyone else, call this number xxx-xxx-xxxx.

7. That's 4 in 4 days

I think the "can't talk about guns after a shooting spree" group knows that they're so frequent now that we'll never talk about it.
