Ok Goehmert wants teachers to have M-4...
That is a full military grade infantry weapon
Louie Goehmert is insane.

secede, and shoot the hell out of everything in sight.

8. Actually it is not irrelevant
|
Having an even higher rate of fire makes it even more dangerous. Granted, it is less accurate fire, but that is why it matters.
What is irrelevant is when gun nuts go, but only military riffles have mode selector (a favorite talking point). All of them do...it's just the modes of fires that are available. I have had fun with the idiots trying to dazzle with terminology. |

...that might be relevant. But were not, we're talking about a civilian environment. The entire canard is an irrelevant distraction to avoid having to actually engage the subject on an emotive level.

I live 3 miles from Inglewood and 5 miles from Compton and I vehemently disagree with such an assessment of the country we live in. Try Aleppo or Homs if we want to talk about battlefields.

10. My 9mm with the 20 round clip can be emptied as fast as I pull the trigger
|
the trigger pull is so short, it is scary. I can empty the 20 rounds much quicker than a guy with a revolver.
I can take out more because the ejection of the magazine is simple and inserting the full magazine is effortless. With a revolver, even with quick loads, you are slowed down considerably with a revolver. Yes auto is much faster, but to the 20 dead, you arguement is moot. |

here's the entire quote: "I wish to God she had an M-4 in her office locked up — so when she heard gunfire, she pulls it out and she didn’t have to lunge heroically with nothing in her hands," Gohmert said on "Fox News Sunday" with Chris Wallace. "But she takes him out, takes his head off, before he can kill those precious kids." 34. THEN WHY DIDN'T HE?
|
If God is the all powerful then WHY DIDN'T he put a gun in the hands of the teacher or principle and immediately 'arm' that person with the knowledge and ability to go shoot the gunman. I thought God performed miracles? He is the all powerful and surely he wouldn't have a problem providing this teacher with the necessary tool to bring down the criminal? In fact, if a gun magically appeared in the hand's of the teacher or principle and the principle successful foils the massacre, then guess what? --Gun rights are expanded --Those who doubt the existence of God would have to rethink their position Yet another failed opportunity for God. Meanwhile, here in the real world, more funerals are set today to lower more children into their graves. |

that principal could have done with an M4??
You know, the principal who died trying to save those children? According to that pustule, she could have: "Taken his head off before he could have killed any of those babies..." (almost word for word..) This motherfucker needs to spend a night under enemy fire so he can show everyone what he can do with an M4. Chickenshit chickenhawks, fucking clueless, privileged ass wipes who have NEVER served a day under the gun.... Callow lapdogs to the NRA, writing gun laws. They are killing these children with craven, willfully ignorant stances based on Rambo and Die Hard. I got no time. Someone needs to punch this fucker in the nuts. And then he can display his expertise with an M4. My bet is that I could FEED this motherfucker a complete weapon, one piece at a time, shoved down his gullet, and he still wouldn't know what the fuck to do with one. I learned to field strip an M-16 in 1969. The M4 is the current version of that weapon. I don't want one anywhere near me or anyone I know. And that guy needs to go fuck himself. With an M4. |

It's an NRA talking point.
Right to carry is an NRA talking point. I promised to call anybody using NRA talking points. There is a place for concealed carry, a license, renewed every three years, with extensive background checks, provable need and tactical training. Not what the NRA wants. It is loser gun laws that find us here. |

been to an NRA site or knowingly ever read any NRA literature. I do, however, think for myself. If the NRA happens to agree with me on this point, good for them. I don't know the NRA stance on other issues so I don't know what else they are right/wrong on.
"There is a place for concealed carry, a license, renewed every three years, with extensive background checks, provable need and tactical training. " I don't disagree with you here. Our two opinions are apparently not mutually exclusive. The only point of contention I see is who determines what "provable need" is. I would call self-defense in a location which seems to attract mass killers a provable need. |
