3. This is much better.

After 9/11/01 thousands of Iranian citizens took to the street to hold a candlelight vigil for those who died that day. Many had tears streaming down their cheeks. Iranians have good reason to dislike the US, and yet so many of the people recognized that it is the governments of the world who are the enemies of the people...not the citizens.

7. The iranian citizens have no beef with the US

just their nut-job leaders and the mullahs who control everything. They use the US as a whipping boy to maintain power (much like the GOP using "they're going to take away your guns" to maintain power).

It was all too horrific. The heartbreaking thought of the innocent lives so brutally slaughtered.....and then your post of the Pakistani children....

9. Bless all the children everywhere....

K&R

Wise beyond their years. We should listen to them more.
And try to listen to the child that lives inside of each of us.

18. It's paradise.

I've only been to Tahiti, Moorea, and Tetiaroa, spending a lot of that time underwater, but I've never been anywhere as PERFECT in almost every respect. I've traveled a fair amount, but Tahiti is the best I've seen.

19. Ouch. That would sting if it were sarcastic

If we read today that 20 kids somewhere in Pakistan were blown up, even by America, we (as a nation) wouldn't take much note of it.

So the "We feel your pain as u would feel ours" sentiment is doubled-edged, though I'm sure not meant that way.
