3. The thing I'm dreading is the release of the school photos.

I'm afraid the media will publicize the pictures of those little faces of kids with their new haircuts and new outfits bought for picture day ...

13. As hard as it will be on the families,

the pictures of the victims should be released. I would not be adverse to even releasing crime scene shots (with blurred dots over the faces). People need to deal with the brutal reality of gun crimes instead of sugar coating it. Think about it, when you look at the statistics of gun related incidences, unless you have an incident like the Conn. shooting, people do not pay too much attention to it. Give it some time and people will get blase about it until the next incident. Nothing is ever learned, nothing is ever done about it.

15. I know. I agree, but I'm just dreading it and fearing seeing those faces.

I think it is the right thing to do, but it is going to rip our hearts out.

19. I'm in full agreement with you

It is a horrible thing to ask from the survivors, parents, cops, emt's, etc. I mentioned this yesterday twice in conversation with my mom and a friend.

The parents... if they can dig deep and hold on to each other should demand that an image be released (I agree with blurred faces) to shock this damn country from complacency. Not now, not too soon (which it will always be too soon) but if and when they can ever be ready to make such a demand.
To hear about is one thing but it is in one ear then out the other in the matter or days or weeks for some. I think a serious shock to the system, upsetting the masses is overdue regarding the out of control mass shootings. Even if it gets just a small percentage of people to change their minds about our problems with gun violence then good will have come from doing so. Yes. It would be extremely harsh.

18. All first graders...where you have to be born before September 1 to enter Kindergarten

Most of these children were all born between September 1, 2005 and September 1, 2006. That would put them in first grade.

My daughter was born in March 2006. She's in first grade. Two of these children were born within days of my daughter.

I cannot bear this. I cannot.
