I wonder what my brother-in-law's gun-nut relative thinks now.

Several of us won't be going to "Aunt Peggy's" house for Christmas dinner this year, as we usually do. Seems that one relative, "David," insists on bringing four -- that's right, four -- guns into the house, even though there will be young children present. "Aunt Peggy" doesn't care. I wonder what she and "David" think now.

1. People like that don't think.

They accept what they're told by the people they worship.

2. I can't say as I blame you.

I already try to avoid crowds. Add a gun or two into the mix and you're just asking for trouble.

4. Why? Is he planning a trip to the range?

Can't he leave them in the car or something?

5. Nope.

My brother-in-law's mother asked him to, but he won't.

8. My coworker said this shooting makes him want to get a concealed weapons permit.

...so that he would be prepared in the case there were such an attacker. I don't have a criticism of his reflexive thinking.

9. Who cares what they think. At least the real adults are looking out for the young children

in your family. I applaud your refusal to be there.
