A juror on the inside and a woman on the outside manipulate a court trial involving a major gun manufacturer.

Excellent movie and with todays terrible news, let's hope the Gene Hackmans and the people they represent in real life get theirs like he got his.

Highly recommended movie, one of the best of it's kind.

1. It is one of my all time favorite films

I think it's the best of the Grisham films. It has one of the best endings of any film I've seen. I absolutely would recommend it as a great watch.

3. I never saw the movie; but ...

liked the book, a lot.

But wasn't it a tobaco company?

6. Runaway Jury was definitely about a firearms manufacturer

Gene Hackman played their jury expert.

Now I'm having to drag through my courtroom drama brain cells to remember the tobacco film. Damn.

10. That movie was about a health insurance company killing a woman's son

They wouldn't cover bone marrow transplant for his cancer. They considered it to be 'experimental'. Another great Grisham book to movie.

I never read the book so I don't know if they changed the premise.

2. The original book by John Grisham

involved with tobacco, not guns.

7. Ahhhh, that explains it

I have the book, somewhere, but it got lost in a move, so I watched the movie, instead.

9. I didn't really like Hackman in his early career

but he really is one of the great actors, I've come to realize. Very versatile.
