Don't cut medicare or social security.

Both of my grandparents passed away this year. They were 98 and 99. They outlived their retirement savings. They needed social security and medicare, just to survive and live out their lives. I can't imagine them living without it. I know there are many others like them.

And with the decreasing wages in relation to cost of living nationally, I know many people are not able to pump up their retirement accounts like they should.

Don't cut medicare or social security. Please.

That's all I have to say.

1. I agree with you but I always wonder why we leave Medicaid out of this statement? Medicaid pays

for nursing home placement and many that live as long as your parents did need that just as much as they needed Social Security and Medicare.

2. several things should be on the "don't cut" list.

there are other things I would put in the "don't cut" category. I just felt like posting that because I just got home from my Grandmother's funeral and those two are on my mind.

4. Sorry about your grandmother. I was not criticizing you so much as adding to your thoughts.
