House Democrats to target 48 GOP seats in 2014
As it tries again in 2014 to win back control of the House of Representatives, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee says it's got its eyes on 48 Republican-held seats.
"We need 17 seats to pick up the House. So we begin with an early universe of 30 districts where the incumbent got less than 10% and an additional 18 districts that we think can perform better in an off year than an on year," DCCC Chairman Steve Israel told reporters Thursday. (snip) Israel said the DCCC has completed an initial review of what they did right and wrong in the 2012 cycle. While he wouldn't give specifics, Israel said strong recruitment is crucial. "We've studied what we can do better. Now we are incorporating that into moving forward. The key issue here is that it all starts with recruiting," he said. "The reason we picked up seats in 2012 is because we aggressively began recruiting in 2010." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/13/house-democrats-to-target-48-gop-seats-in-2014/

5. Yup ...
|
I'm pretty certain there is one gop political strategist that can figure on the districts that the gop incumbant won by 10% of less; and I equally sure, there's one out there that can figure out those districts that the Democrats fielded a weak candidate.

It's not a good idea to open your playbook to the opposing team.
We need 17 seats to pick up the House. So we begin with an early universe of 30 districts where the incumbent got less than 10% and an additional 18 districts that we think can perform better in an off year than an on year," DCCC Chairman Steve Israel told reporters Thursday.
"We know their defense gives up yards through the air ... particularly, on double moves to the outside with a trailer; so we're gonna air it out!" Dude, I know your future worth is based on your recognition so media exposure is important; but come on. |

Republicans go into their "quiet rooms", lay out their strategies and then implement them.
Stealth works.. I wish our leaders would STFU and just do it.. tell us after the fact, or better yet, let us watch as it unfolds like a rose before our eyes |

He's already scared to death at least 30 Republicans that will be thinking more about themselves than Boner or his sidekick when they try to hold them in lock-step. The other "18" are anybody's guess . . . so that will probably translate to another 25 or so. LOL!

even their own redistricting areas will either not vote or vote them out and either way, hopefully it will be a total defeat for GOPpers.
