5. This video's been around for years and years and I always found it repulsive.
You can only lay so much flute music an innuendo on top of something before it's obvious that there's a shot being put over on you.
This is nothing against you, personally, I had watched this video many years ago and thought it was sweet and sad. But then later, probably months later, it probably came up again somewhere and I watched it again but this time what struck me as was going on was something far different than all that fucking flute music and kindly narration would imply.
Life on earth is brutal, all the time. Right down to the single-celled organisms between your toes. Brutal. We as humans do a lot of projecting in order to desperately bridge the fictive gap between what is and what we desperately want to be true.
There are some realities of nature which I simply must admit I will never be properly psychologically steeled against, but I am not so...optimistic(?)...as to try to explain what I perceive as horrific in an optimistic light in order to lessen it.
Again, nothing against you. It's really this video. I think what the film-makers did was actually kind of sick.
