The Freeloader bill passed and signed in Michigan by the Liar in Chief

Now those of us who pay our dues will be paying for all employees so that a mere handful can have a choice.

From the Republicans:Want an abortion-no choice. Want to be a part of a union and pay a due for union representation-choice.

For anyone who currently pays dues-be aware that your dues will still have to pay for grievance procedures, fair wages and safe working conditions for those who choose not to.

The freeloaders win again.

2. There are far reaching reasons for why the Repub's and the Kocheads want to own Mi.

They will pander to any group but their ultimate aim is about the proximity to Canada and water. There will continue to be some very shady doings in Michigan.

6. Here in KY (at least at certain large megacorporations)

You don't HAVE to belong to the union. But you still pay the dues, because you benefit--you get the same deal as the union contract.

7. That's nice. Now in Mi. you can get the same benefits w/o paying or belonging.

You can be a freeloader under the law.

10. Simple solution: fire all non-paying union members.

Cuz they just want free stuff. They have a choice already. If they don't like where the union spends their dues, find another job. I'm sure there are millions of people who would gladly pay union dues to have a good job. Time to stand up to the Kochs.

12. In RTW states, must unions represent non-members?

Are they able to write contract with benefits that only covers members, leaving non-members to deal directly with management?

I have been hearing conflicting info on this.

I am so embarrassed for my state ... and so worried for the workers (including me) in my state.

17. Is there anything that can be *done* about this situation? Are they really stuck with it for 2 more

years until elections?
