8. Libertarian hell-hole. If you can't afford those things yourself, they still have a place for you.

Think of the money business could save with prison labor! Hooray for freedom and liberty!

10. Private-prisons demand full jail guarantee

if they buy the public prisons. This could be a big reason for public services being cut.

15. I don't recall which state, but some state has a deal

for inmates - work for free & take time off your sentence! And we thought competing with Chinese wages was bad.

16. A while back I was talking to a Republican friend of mine who holds a non partisan post.

I was talking about how increasing improvements in productivity was bringing us to a point where we were going to have to reconsider the whole morality of employment because there was simply not going to be enough jobs for everyone, and we would have to reconsider our basic view of economy and property.

He was sympathetic and said well society always has a fall back but it isn't very good, "build more jails".

Ultimately we will either have to guarantee everyone work or build more jails.

21. ....with Democratic Majorities in The House & Senate.

Let THIS put an end to the nonsense that Congress is too monolithic to act quickly.
(The old "you can't turn a ship at sea bullshit of an excuse for inaction)
With Bi-Partisan support Congress delivered a $TRILLION Dollars to Paulson in less than a week after he delivered his 3 page Ransom Note.

Our Government CAN strike Faster-then-a-Rattlesnake when their 1% "portfolios" are threatened.

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses.
