new plans post lay off

A week ago I lost my job due to a lay off. (It's indefinite-last was over a year). I still have a part time job but that won't cover expenses. I'm looking for a new job but remember the local market has just been flooded with applicants.

I've decided to look into going back to school and move on campus with my kid. It's one of the few viable options in my area.

So,anyone have a degree in ag or agribusiness? I'm interested more in funding and development of urban farms and aiding small scale family farms and co-ops. I don't want to be rich but I'd like to supply a child with the job. Anyone familiar with any aspects?

1. Sorry about your job loss

I don't know anything about agriculture except for raising a few tomato plants & beans every summer. With so many members, I'm sure someone on DU can offer help to you. Good luck!
