Report: Hawaii doctors finding uranium in people’s urine

Source: ENENEWS
“DOH action is needed to investigate what’s causing uranium showing up in Big island resident’s urine. Is it uranium weapons that have been fired at or something else? Three MDs and a Naturopathic doctor have patients who have tested high for uranium in urine, including levels exceeding three times the upper expected limit.”

If the exemption is not granted, the Army believes the license “should only address possession and decommissioning,” according to Lt. General Michael Ferriter in a Sep. 10 letter to the NRC. “No restrictions or requirements should be placed upon the Army,” Ferriter wrote.

The Army long denied using depleted uranium (DU) in Hawaii, but Earthjustice came across emails to the contrary in 2006. Radioactive material was present in weapons used for training in Hawaii and at least eight other states in the 1960s. In 2008, the Army applied to the NRC for an after-the-fact license to possess a maximum of 17,600 pounds of DU on its U.S. bases.

1. Well how about...

Uranium=nuclear power/Japan=Tsunami. Reactors melt down spewing nuclear waste into the Pacific ocean.

Why hasn't this been brought into the equation? I would research it but have to run to work.

3. If it is due to Japan it would have affected the residents of other islands I would think.

4. Despite the prevailing myth, the military is not a bastion of general integrity or honesty.

They like to play with their toys first, and worry about the consequences later.

Then they try to cover-up the consequences, no matter how many unsuspecting innocent people suffer from their carelessness and thoughtlessness.

"Hey, Sarge, that looks like a good island to nuke! Let 'er rip, and let's see what happens!"
