edited to apologize for not remembering to mention that solicitations for donations for the presentations are included in the video.I didn't post to try and generate funds for the effort...not that I would discourage that, but it wasn't my purpose for posting.

1. god I wish

(my mom could use a little 'attitude adjustment' when it comes to Pot and not thinking it is as bad as heroin)

but this is definitely one to share with my MMJ community

2. I am a Grandma, age 66

I wish I could grow marijuana in my back yard. Why not, it's a plant, isn't it?

I would make pot butter and pot cookies, etc. I don't like to smoke, but I believe in the value of cannabis for relief of the joint pain I have as a result of the medication I take to prevent recurrence of breast cancer.

17. Me too. Gettin' old, gettin' creaky. Mostly, though, I wish my Mom could have had some

She went through absolute hell with her chemo, and if she had lived anywhere near her grandkids I know one of them would have tried to help her out -- only, like so many of her generation, she thought there was a needle in every toke, and undoubtedly would have refused.

Well, Gods forbid I should ever need it for cancer, but I'd be first in line at the dispensary if so.

And if it were legal, I would indeed garden some in my back yard because of the aforesaid achy joints, plus insomnia, plus fibromyalgia. I'd have to learn about brownies and butters and whatnot, because when a friend I was visiting pressed some of her smokes on me it activated my asthma and gave me a hangover. I'm not a smoker.

What a stupid legal system we have.

Oh -- my fundy neighbor tells his Bible study group in no uncertain terms that marijuana is one of God's healing herbs, and helps his migraines like nothing else. Ha!

20. I want to grow it for the hemp and the seeds

I want to make paper and weave cloth, and the seeds are more nutritious than chia.

Tinctures are good for joint pain too, just rub it on instead of eating it

23. A grandmother here also. I would like to try it for my back pain but am afraid to since I also have

diabetes and worry about the drug interaction.

28. I am also a grandma, age 73.

I smoked pot in my younger years, but I would not smoke it now. It is too fattening. Made me so hungry that I would clean out the refrigerator.

6. Well I`m a grandma and

most people my age that want to smoke already are. Many old hippies around you know. Perhaps they knew about the benefits of pot before some of you all were born!

7. No... granny... and grandpa... should...

.. make special zucchini bread, special brownies, green butter... and like that. Indica strain for the body effect rather than the high.

http://www.420magazine.com/forums/cannabis-edibles/118751-zucchini-bread.html

Beware of the marijuana overdose!

It's called.... a NAP!

Seems like a win-win all around!

there is evidence that it is actually not harmful and in some cases maybe beneficial...still,like you I would prefer to not smoke.I suggest vaporization and ingestion instead.

I'm a Grampa too,and I like plants of all kinds.

18. The Flower Children of the 60s are now in our 60s.

We already know how good marijuana is. We're just no longer as daring about using illegal substances, plus we need to know about interaction with all the prescriptions we take.

19. Interesting thread.

I'm 49 and never thought of pot as a big deal. I marvel at how many just 3-4 years older (and then those a lot older) see pot as Reefer Madness portrays it.

In fact I daresay I can hear minds slam shut faster on that topic than just about any other (including religion and politics) and it's ALWAYS with older people.

How sad that so many that are older and terrified of this simple weed are set on denying it's availability to all.

21. I saw the TDS clip on this - hilarious.

It explained how smoking pot fits so perfectly into the retired lifestyle. And as one wheelchair-bound older gentleman said: "If I can take something that will make me feel better, why not?". I agree.

30. We be grandparents. We don't need lessons.

My mother and her uncles all know about it too. My late Uncle Jack was quite the Kentucky farmer in his day. And my Uncle Darryl quite the consumer.

Or pot butter popcorn - though that is a slippery slope.
