As predicted, Angus T. Jones' fundie rant goes over like a lead balloon with CBS brass

http://tv.yahoo.com/news/cbs-ceo-les-moonves-gets-snarky-over-angus-t--jones-195721859.html

"We took this boy (Jones) who started with us when he was eight years old, and it seems to be what happens with child stars over the course of time," Moonves said. "He's now making over $300,000 per week, which is not a bad salary for a 19-year-old kid, and he went on a religious channel and urged people not to watch the show because it was filth. By the way, he's still collecting his $300,000 per week."

Moonves was cagey about whether Jones still has a job. When asked if he was in the market for a new “half man,” Moonves replied, "We have other plans. I don't know what our status is with him.” He then joked, "After going through what we went through with Charlie Sheen, it's been a piece of cake."

In a widely seen online video, Jones called the CBS sitcom "filth" and urged people not to watch it. Explaining that the show was in conflict with his religious beliefs, Jones said, “People will see us and be like, 'I can be a Christian and be on a show like ‘Two and a Half Men.' You can't. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't." ...

Should Moonves decide to give Jones his walking papers, the young actor can take comfort that his former costar Charlie Sheen has offered him a role on his new show, "Anger Management." Sheen told ABC News, "My former nephew is welcome at the Goodson Anger Management home anytime."

They'd have to move Anger Management from FX to The Trainwreck Channel!!

1. If "Bewitched" changed Darrens, "Two-and-a-half Men" could change half-men.

BTW...if "Jake" is still a half-man at 19, does that mean that Alan had him prepped to audition as a Vienna Choir Boy? They've pretty much established that Alan would do ANYTHING for some quick cash.

3. CBS would be very wise to terminate his contract.

And ask him for all of his payments made since he was 8 years old.

Since he doesn't think highly of his own show.

9. Well.. maybe I was a bit harsh...

I just feel that if he didnt want to be a part of the show, then he should quit right now and go somewhere else.

10. If he's smart he'll realize this is probably the only job in the industry he'll ever have,

and ride the train until it ends.

4. "God-fearing person"

I never understood that phrase, why would you want to worship a God that you are afraid of? How is that any different than worshiping the devil, if you have something to fear from your God? I'm thinking Jake will join Uncle Charlie in the after life soon enough. CBS and the producers should sue his religious idiot for everything he's made off the show for slander.

5. How strange that he isn't passing his filthy, immoral payments on to charity.

I just don't understand!

6. I'm not a fundy, but I do kinda agree with the kid that it's a trashy show.

My bigger complaint is that it's not funny, and that the writers substitute a safe and unchallenging, commodified sexual shock-value for real wit and humor. The show, to extent that I've seen in just a few snippits over the years, isn't trash because it's about sex. I find it trashy because the jokes are about nothing but sex.

8. Come back Charlie Sheen, all is forgiven!

But has he actually said he's going to resign? It's not enough for him to say that you shouldn't watch it if he's going to keep doing it/

15. My guess is that he will be going away to college on the show soon

If the character comes back, it will be a different actor.

16. If he does, it'll be on the GI Bill

Jake and his buddy Eldridge joined the Army.

My guess is Cpl. Harper gets fragged.
