I saw my Tea Party Neighbor's house getting broken into last night....

This is snark, not reality. I have no idea what my neighbor's political thoughts are. We are both smart enough not to broach that subject between casual acquaintances.

2. Do you see this as a post deserving deletion?

As far as I can tell, it could only be offensive to teabaggers and Libertarians. I'm sorry if it somehow offended you.

14. I saw my Tea Party Neighbor's house on fire last night...

... while they were out of town. We're kind of out in the country and I'm the only close neighbor, but I didn't call the Fire Department because I assume some dumbass teabaggers are against ALL government spending. So it's pretty ironic that their house burned to the ground 'cause of their politics. HaHaHa! I laughed and laughed as I watched it burn and burn!

Just kidding! I'm not enough of an asshole to actually do that, but it is funny to pretend I'm that much of an asshole and make jokes about it. HaHaHa! I can't stop laughing... it's so funny! Why? Because fuck 'em - they're teabaggers! HaHaHa!

15. Did you even read the bit about snark under the picture?

Make7, you have a serious sarcasm deficit or are so hyper-sensitive that it blows my mind that this escaped you.

I seriously doubt that anyone on this board would let a neighbor's house burn down for any reason.

16. Nobody on this board would watch a house burn. But Teabaggers have no issue with same.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39535911/ns/us_news-life/t/no-pay-no-spray-case-firefighters-threatened/

If you choose to approach Make7's post with the same utter lack of consideration for hyperbole and use of sarcasm as he offered your post, I'd say he fits the criteria of a humorless Tea Party member.

But that's only hypothesized under those specific circumstances.

3. Except they're great at making exceptions when it benefits them

Most hard right types, for all their anti-government, anti-statist shrieking have no problem with the part of government that throws US military power around the world or arrests and busts heads of citizens other than them and theirs.

6. Who Needs Police? If The House Had Been Full Of Guns..........

..............the guy wouldn't have broken in to begin with. Because guns protect a house even when the owners aren't home. Right? Right? Oh, I guess I've just seen so many people offering so many magical, mystical benefits to gun ownership lately that I just assumed protection from all crime was one of them.

7. LOL.

Right, if someone pulls a gun on you and you react by pulling a gun on them they run away in fear rather than pulling the trigger when they see you reaching for your gun.

12. I don't have a problem with it.

99.9999999% of the time you see "Tea Party", "Break in" & "Cops" in a thread, it quickly turns into a gun thread. Look at some of the other replies. It's already gone in that direction.

I don't mind the discussion. It's refreshing.

13. Your comment should tell you something.

"99.9999999% of the time you see "Tea Party", "Break in" & "Cops" in a thread, it quickly turns into a gun thread."

Tea Partiers, Republicans and RW Fringe groups are all tied inexorably to guns and gun culture through their paranoia that everyone is out to get them.

It's only natural that people make the connection.

19. I'm rural.

Never have run into a problem I couldn't solve with a garden implement such as a hoe, axe or such.

21. Back in the real world

One of my neighbors is hard right...he was the original tea party hack, before the tea party.

Taxes are high, taxes are bad.you know the drill.

One day he started complaining. He placed a 911 call for an already passed break in. They came from vacation, the burglars had come and gone...

So of course he called 911 and was told the detectives MIGHT get to it in ten hours, better bet tomorrow.

I reminded him he liked his lower taxes, preferably down to zero, but now he was complaining since the cops were a tad low in officers.

He's not broached the subject since...oh and it took the cops four hours.
