3. Every change my company made was to benefit themselves

One example (of many)

We used to get a cost of living wage adjustment and a merit raise during the year.
the company said they were going to combign the two.
Next year the cost of living increased 3.4% and we got a raise of 2.7%

Therefore, we didn't even get the full cost of living raise and that was it.

We couldn't complain or we would be labeled as trouble makers and get even less.

We were not union and had no way to fight.

We have been screwed for the past 35 years.

If we lost on the cost of living it meant that we were working harder for less money every year.

While they got millions in bonuses. You need to protect yourself!

6. But Obama still won.

That bottom 80% may have only 7% of the money but they have 80% of the votes.

8. That's what de-regulated CAPITALISM looks like.

It's a crime against the people who BUILD the wealth by the people who OWN the wealth.

19. Convince the Army It's Not Worth It

Then we can start protecting the earth--the real wealth EVERYBODY shares equally--and the rich won't have any way to kill us or throw us in jail.

This is not a rhetorical question.

16. Who is the we?

The 80% of Americans who survive on 7% of the wealth. That's we. Where you might fall on that piechart, I have no idea. If I had any advice I'd give it, not ask for it.

It's all well and fine to bitch about the unfairness of a completely corrupted and stacked deck economic reality on an internet forum, but bitching isn't going to change a damn thing. Personally, I'd lay down my life willingly, if it would give the generations following mine a level playing field.

17. it's all very well to say 'we' are the 80%, but unless the 80% is organized that 'we' won't

be doing anything.

either start organizing or join with a group that is organized.

yes, our bitching can change something, because part of organizing is educating & informing.

the ruling class does it very well, & it's a major reason the people are so passive -- only problem is, they lie.

i don't think the time for laying down lives is quite upon us yet.

18. It doesn't require 80% to do something.

It never has.
