Author of Three Cups of Tea Dies of Suicide. Damn.

David Oliver Relin, the author of the award-winning book Three Cups of Tea has taken his own life at 49. Relin's reputation had suffered greatly over accusations that his writing partner, Greg Mortenson, had mismanaged funds in the school charity on which the book was based.

Sounds as if Relin was caught up in something that fueled a terrible depression, and it got him. So sad. He worked so hard for others.

1. I thought Mortenson wrote that, and it was his

journey. I had read about all the controversy. Either way, very sad.

3. I did too. Mortenson just provided the "story" to a writer perhaps

Mortenson looks worse every day. 60 Minutes took him apart.

5. important parts of it were invented

according to 60 Minutes.

Mortenson refused to talk with 60 Minutes - lending support that he lied about aspects of his life.
