Los Angeles Landlord's Christmas Generosity Goes Viral

pic upload

"Please deduct $70 from your regular rent for the month of December and perhaps use those monies to purchase a gift for someone special in your life," the letter reads.

The landlord also expressed his gratitude to all the residents who have continued their stay with the company.

Needless to say, best landlord ever.

2. Good on him

I expect there's a Debbie Downer who is going to post a "Yeah, but . . ." response. In this case, regardless of your political or spiritual or economic persuasion, the landlord has done a nice thing, a very nice thing. May he or she or they have the nicest, most peaceful and joyous Holiday!

And to all you folks at D.U.:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, PAX IN TERRA VESTRA, AMOR IN VUESTRAS CORAZONES!

(OK, I had to google some of that, but if it came out slightly wrong, well, Merry Christmas!)

4. As a believer in something that many call Karma ...

I suspect that the reason this landlord is in the position to extend this offer this year, is because he/she has done this very nice thing in the past.

though my landlord did not raise my rent for a year after my daughter died. later he raised it so high i moved out of CA. it's good to know that some people really get what the season should be about.

What a difference that can make in peoples' lives, and I bet he's good at fixing stuff throughout the rest of the year. Bravo!
