GOPers are trying to make this about John King instead of Newt and his character.

The issue is not how dare John King ask a question. The issue is Newtie's serial philandering, wanting his cake and eating it too. Gluttony. Character.

This is standard damage control. Make the issue about the messenger. Morning Jerk is taking this full tilt this morning on his show.

"How can John King open up a debate with a 'he said, she said thing"

"Is that journalism? Bringing up a 'he said, she said?"
"That has never happened in a debate, never before"

and on and on and on.

Yeah, I see how the game is being played. Kathleen Parker (Shudder) wrote a column on how Gingrich won the hearts of the public by his attack -- though she admitted what he was doing was spin. A friend of mine was a little more blunt; she called it gaslighting.

Anyway, the 'cans certainly are keen on official talking points, aren't they?

John King is a corporate tool...why he's a major domo at Chicken Noodle Nuze and hasn't seen a right wing talking point he hasn't embraced. Watching Cadgrich try to go after him was the ultimate in hypocrisy and hilarity. How dare someone ask about how that shitstain, who tried to impeach a President for "lying about sex" while doodling his own "intern"....not only does he want us to ignore this, but he wants that harlot to be first lady.

Of course Cadrich "won" this argument among mental midgets (no insult intended to midgets...honest!)...using the time-worn rushpublican game of "blame the media"...of course he never answered the questions or had any meaningful ideas last night. I hope the rushpublicans continue to piss off the corporate media...keep the focus on these losers and their hypocrisies...all the way through November...

...that "character" is only an issue when it comes to Democratic Presidents? Bill Clinton's extramarital affair spawned a whole "Character Counts" industry. This shithole town where I live STILL flies a different banner every month featuring a new "good character" trait in our downtown area. The hypocrisy is astounding--but not the least bit surprising.

An inversion of reality - I'm amazed at how easily they do it.
If John King wasn't a below average hack he would have followed up with a question about ReTHUG family values.

It most certainly was a pertinent question..Newt is asking for the nation's trust yet his own wives and family can not trust him as evidenced by his actions...There probably is not a more pertinent question that could be asked...But King tried to blame it on someone else and at that moment I agreed with Newt. Take responsibility for your actions...King proved himself a complete and total tool....

The GOP wants to be the party of "family values" yet they don't think a candidate should have to answer these types of questions after lying about it repeatedly?

If they think Gingrich shouldn't be asked these questions, I'm more than fine with that. However, I don't want to hear the GOP preaching "family values" ever again. They can't have it both ways.

Gingrich should be asked these questions every day until he stops lying.
