No point in playing, the fact we give this supposedly "non-profit organization" our $$$ and most of us get nothing in return makes me sick. I would rather spend the money on some canned goods or boxed food to donate to my local food shelter, so the victims of layoffs and corporate america can have a nice Christmas!

The chance of winning had you not bought a ticket was zero.

Some times, a little hope and some dreams are worth a couple bucks.

You know what, somebody won, in fact two people won a ton of cash.

Where is the harm in spending two bucks for a ticket?

8. I bought 1 ticket for the first time in years.

It's essentially a voluntary tax with almost 0 chance of a significant payout. There's no harm in a little cheap wishful thinking every now and then, but some people take it way too seriously. I know someone who spends $30-$50 a week on tickets and that is a significant portion of his income. He is convinced he will win someday, that he will figure out a trick with the numbers.
