Seriously . . . . . about John McCain . . . . .

What do you think about any or all of these points? I am asking this not to snark but to honestly get a sense of what people are thinking.

Is he still competent to hold office?

Is he just feeling undervalued and having a sort of temper tantrum?

Is he really unclear and filled with questions or is he posturing?

If he still has questions, who can answer them since he's met with so many people already?

If he still has questions, what are they?

If he is posturing, what is he looking for? Why is he posturing?

Is he doing whatever it takes to get to some party-favored goal? Working as a decoy? Part of a big misdirection while others in the party do whatever it is they might be doing?

Serious, what's up with him?

And is Kelly Ayotte not the most pathetic little junior Senator/big shot wannabe you have ever seen?

1. His fight against irrelevance is becoming increasingly desperate.

2. he has always been an asshole and a bully

the press has covered up for him for decades. But every now and then he is such a total jerk even they can't cover it over any more.

7. Yep. He never was fit for office.

This kind of crap is nothing new. Had he not run for President, he would not be getting anywhere near the amount of attention he is getting now.

And, yes, Kelly Ayotte is a pathetic wannabe. She not very bright, either. She let herself get roped into this witch hunt early in her career, and I think it could cut that career short if she participates much more. New Hampshirites don't strike me as people who will put up with that kind of bullshit the way Southern republicans do.

3. I think he personally dislikes Rice.

And has cheerfully taken on the task of getting rid of Rice so Kerry can be SOS and then huge money will be poured into getting Scott Brown elected.
I don't think he is any nuttier, angrier, or incompetent then a whole lot of other members of Congress.
Which is sad and frightening.

6. If it is his plan, he is senile

There is no way that his unjustified attacks on Rice would get Kerry nominated. On the contrary, it will make sure Kerry is not nominated.

8. I really do believe it's about getting Kerry out of the Senate & into Sec State ...

... they think they can get Snot Brown into Kerry's seat and that will change the game as far as governing goes for the next 2 yrs.

Or maybe McCain thought at some point in time HE should have been Sec'y State and is still holding that grudge?
