Why are the Republicans REALLY going after Susan Rice?

I've heard all the Republican arguments against her. They've been out on the talk show circuit, aiming at her relentlessly.

I've seen repeats of what Rice said on the morning shows in the days after the Benghazi attacks.

I really don't think this is the problem they have with Rice. Yeah, I can believe that many of them don't like what she said, and that deep down inside, some may even believe the White House lied about Benghazi and that's why they lost the election(s).

But I sense an ulterior motive. It's not that simple...that they don't think Rice is qualified to be SOS because her statements weren't "right."

Do they want the cabinet appointments shifted around, so that Kerry may end up being SOS, and they like that, for some reason? Do they want to force Obama into selecting a Republican SOS, since Obama is considering Hagel and maybe other Republicans for cabinet appointments? Or are they trying to shift the public's focus away from something? Like maybe the Petraeus and Gen'l Adams and FBI and Eric Cantor scandal? Why IS no one asking why Cantor was called on the Petraeus matter? (Cantor was even on Joe Scabby this morning, and not one question pertained to the call he got on Petraeus.)

What is it? What's really going on with this Susan Rice huffy puffy talk?

1. Maybe they're afraid of comparisons between Susan Rice

and the Spoiled Rice Stupid had in his administration.

However, chances are better that they're going after her simply because she's black, female, and a Democrat and they hate all three. It's nothing to do with her competence and certainly nothing to do with the Benghazi attack. It's just more racist, sexist, anti Democratic bullshit from a bunch of spoiled children.

2. Theyre just desperate to win something after their election night spanking

and sense that they may be able to force Obama to pick anyone else. If they succeed they'll say it is an admission that they were right about Benghazi.

Republicans are just a bunch of jerks.

11. Bingo!

It's been a while since these savages have gotten a "scalp". They're stinging from having their asses kicked and are trying to show the "colored fella" whose really boss. Pretty sad display...

3. It could be a combination of a few things...

A lost election, an exposed republican general and their racism all mixed with a need to be relevant.

5. I think they see it as a way to discredit Obama, picking something and

harping and harping on it ... they'll move on to other areas as they rebuild their base of hatred for the black man in office that stole their right to the presidency.

9. There isn't necessarily a reason that can be isolated.

Sometimes the level of dissatisfaction and powerlessness creates its own meaning and these things take on a life of their own.

It's the 'cool factor' applied to politics. Suddenly, if you're a white, male Republican, it's 'cool' to dump on Rice.

I don't see any overarching theme behind their attacks. Just a bunch of sad, has-beens trying to stay relevant.

10. This is the first new appointee-to-be of the second term.

They are starting as strong (and nasty) as they can to not cede any ground. They will put up fights on every nominee. This being the first, they will try to set a bar and try to seem relevant.
