When SoS Powell knowingly lied about Iraqi

WMD structures, the GOP had no problem with it. His testimony led to an illegal invasion and thousands of US soldiers being killed.

Powell knew the intel was bad, and even argued against using it - yet he still did.

The GOP, including John McCain had no problem with it, even after the facts were revealed.

As far as I am concerned, this is proof that the faux outrage over Susan Rice's report is purely partisan.

(hopefully) everyone on this board knows that the GOP lies. But that doesn't stop us from pointing out the lies.

As for #2, nowhere does Powell's skin color enter the picture. Personally, I like Powell and commend him for taking a stand in the first place. I think that the reason he acquiesced is because he was being "a good soldier" and following his orders which has more to do with his military background than anything else. Also, I applaud him for the stands he has taken since his service as SoS. Besides, this was not a criticism of Powell so much as it was an indictment of GOP practices and John McCain in particular.

Thank you for your critique and advice. I know that we are on the same side of this issue and accept your comments as intended to be helpful advice rather than criticism. I hope I have helped to clarify my reasons for posting.
