What's with all the "Joe the VP" is cool/friendly posts lately? Some may call me "paranoid"....I consider myself "watchful". There was a post earlier today about "how lucky we are to have such a great VP". True, but, ehm....VP's don't do much other than become POTUS if something happens to the current POTUS.

I think we have a wonderful VP. But that's exactly all I ever hope he will be is a VP.

But I think the job description has changed (the one good thing Dick Cheney ever did in his whole sorry, wasted life) and I love seeing these guys together. I think it's a partnership now--an unequal one, as it should be, but a partnership nonetheless.

Friends indeed. It's heartwarming.
