And there will be lots of angry coocoos hellbent to primary the Pledge Breakers™.
Getting out of their way as they run from that Pledge is akin to staying out of the bulls in Pamplona.

3. Be careful, the cons are liars
They may mew about a need for revenues, and even publicly dismiss Norquist, but its a tactic designed to draw Democrats into making a bad deal that is basically the Romney tax plan, offset with reducing Social Security and Medicare, while leaving most all the defense budget intact.
Dont trust them, the smartest way to deal with them over the mythical cliff is to first let it happen, then selectively cut taxes after the fact, that way they have no leverage.
