Yay!!! Did all my Christmas shopping and giving

And stayed two bucks over budget, including the cost of stamps.

The post office was crazy today though. I will not use anything but the USPS for this, even if these were cards...period!

What amazes me is what they said each person spent this weekend. Even with the pair of jeans I had to replace...nowhere close. I wonder how many folks are bringing credit out again?

1. I envy you that you have the money to buy gifts...

i do not have the money to buy gifts this year so I will not be getting any presents either....it will be a very quiet Christmas in my house this year..just me and my puppy..not bothering with a Christmas tree or Christmas decorations either..

5. Love Is Within Reach Of All Budgets

You have a puppy? There is a bundle of love and a creature that will never leave you wanting for love or attention. I have had many "miserable" holidays for one reason or another but I found out that the ones that did not involve money were the best of all. A beautiful sunrise, deer over the horizon, a surprise plate of homemade cookies or just visiting a senior who is all alone can perk up a day. While it's easy to get depressed with what you don't have some times you have to look at the positives that surround you. Happy holidays to you and your puppy!

6. Oh these are mostly symbolic

We are Jewish, so we have never had a tree.

2. I have heard that credit is coming out big time.

That really concerns me.

7. Me too

I tore those pants with a key chain, so had no choice. Lucky ducky, happened on Thursday.

But the reaching for credit concerns me. I could not afford the 750/person

3. I build most, if not all, of my Christmas gifts.

One of the few that I buy is tools. Middle son will get a full set of basic mechanics tools, and a cabinet to keep them in.

Eldest will receive new bridal, headstall, and a 12' braided bullwhip.

Youngest will receive a percussion rifle in 50cal, along with a scrimshawed horn, and a fully stocked possibles bag.

Wife will receive a frame loom, built of oak and maple. (I just hope I built it right!)

I will get the satisfaction of giving each what they wanted, built by my own hand.

That is what this season is all about not walmart. I just wish I was on your list.

4. I did some book and toy shopping today.

The stores weren't very busy. The toy store was kind of picked over on certain items from Black Friday. (At least that is what the clerk told me.)

I'm almost done! I didn't over-spend either.... and I don't charge anything.
