Guaranteed To Make RWNJ Heads EXPLODE

A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on a cross is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.

The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” It’s on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15th.

The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president on the cross with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.

-snip-

“The crucifixion of the president was meant metaphorically,” he told Fox News. “My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.”
D’Antuono blamed the controversy on conservative media “trying to promote the idea that liberals believe the president to literally be our savior.”

1. I adore President Obama. I don't think this right to do this kind of a picture.

2. What horrible reportage!!!

Of course, it's fucking Fox!

I see no crucifixion. I see no cross.

So where is this "crucified on a cross" shit come from. No cross. No crucifixion.

Ah!!! I know!!!! Maybe he's tearing the curtains!!!! (Matt 27:51) To be followed shortly by the zombie apocalypse (Matt 27:52-53), no doubt.

Even atheists know a little Bible.

3. This is not right.

The president has some gray in his hair and that tie is a little bit too '80's.

8. That's exactly what Glenn Beck said

But you can only imagine what he came up with as a counter to it.

7. Regardless of the intent, I do not think this is helpful for the president's public relations.

The artist says that there was no intention to compare President Obama to Jesus, and I take him at his word. But, this instance, along with Jamie Foxx's remark, calling the president, "Our lord and savior, Barack Obama", will serve as ammo to the president's RW critics.
I believe that Foxx, who is a comedian, meant it as a joke, but it is not being portrayed that way. Fortunately, this will soon blow over, since the public has a short attention span.
