The War On Women Has Just Really Begun Because -----

it will be waged more and more on the state level. My take is that the state legislatures will put up more and more laws making reproductive services more difficult to access. Their hope will be to get a case that will be a magic bullet that will kill Roe V Wade before the Supreme Court can be changed.

They and the churches will not give up this fight. Their biggest dream is to overturn Roe so that these issues can be controlled by the states with 50 different jurisdictions. That would make it a situation where you have pro contraceptive states and anti contraceptive states. Women's rights would be divided by states like the slave and free states before the Civil War.

And you can almost count on the fact that anti contraceptive state legislatures would make it illegal for a woman to go to another state to get services.

These people are crazier and more sadistic than you think. The anti states would be more religious oriented than the pro states. It might not happen but there may be great divides ahead. The secessionists are of the same ilk that their political ancestors were. The bet is that the secessionist attitude has a religious component to it that favors theocracy. And control of women.

1. I agree. A lot of Republican governors were elected this year.

A lot of states are now under the control of Republican legislatures and governors. And that means that the voting and the districting in those states is under Republican control, which has bad implications for future national elections. Many states are trying to make it as difficult as possible for Democrats to vote or for Democratic votes to count.

3. + 1000

I definitely see bad things in the future of Missouri. The republicans hold both chambers with enough to override any veto from our Democratic governor.
They have been RABID on this issue.
