How about this for a bullshit headline?

From Yahoo:
'New Congress: Fewer moderates make deals harder'

http://news.yahoo.com/congress-fewer-moderates-deals-harder-092942465--politics.html

Overriding those changes, though, is a thinning of pragmatic, centrist veterans in both parties. Among those leaving are some of the Senate's most pragmatic lawmakers, nearly half the House's centrist Blue Dog Democrats and several moderate House Republicans.

That could leave the parties more polarized even as President Barack Obama and congressional leaders talk up the cooperation needed to tackle complex, vexing problems such as curbing deficits, revamping tax laws and culling savings from Medicare and other costly, popular programs.

"This movement away from the center, at a time when issues have to be resolved from the middle, makes it much more difficult to find solutions to major problems," said William Hoagland, senior vice president of the Bipartisan Policy Center, a private group advocating compromise.

The article makes it sound like the actual Democrats that were just elected are going to be a problem because they may actually stick to core Democratic principles about supporting the middle classes and not letting the poor get run over by the republican/corporate bus again by further eroding the social safety net. In addition to women's rights, equality, etc.

Most of the 'moderates' they cite are either two faced liars and backstabbers, or else are stealth 'moderates' that when push comes to shove, fall into line with the corporate scumbags that underwrite their campaigns. The idea that Baldwin, Warren, and the rest of the liberals incoming are somehow equivalent to the teahadists is sickening.

Liberal media my ass.

1. When only the finest rewrite will do,

have Winston (MSM) do it, the doublespeak with this current media state equals the best of the ministry of Truth. Headline sort of points out that bit of nasty untruth, in it's convoluted way. Double-plus good for this, and more to follow, as surely the sun is blue and the sky is yellow.

5. This is one of my biggest pet peeves about our media.

They want to frame it like both the Left and the Right are equally incorrect and that Centrism is always the best method. I'll be honest with you...I have yet to see any conservative ideas that are beneficial for getting America on the right track. They oppose women's right to choose, marriage equality, higher taxes on the rich, welfare, social security, food stamps, public education, and socialized health care. They oppose policies that grant rights to more people and put money in the pockets of more people. There's really no comparison between what the Right wants to do, and what those of us on our side want to do. As I always like to say, "there are 2 sides to every argument, but not to every fact."

7. Headline assumes our government has been in the Center when in fact

we are so far to the right even if we elected an entire Congress of Alan Graysons and Elizabeth Warrens we would only be able to move the country to slightly right of center at this point. I posted something along that line - that we are no where near center, we have moved too far to the right - in the comments section of the article and some troll personally attacked me for being a liar!!!11!!

8. Security!

We've got more progressives in the House & Senate, we're gonna have a problem here...

I wager $10 the R's are going to be frustrated many times over.

I look forward to the show. Nobody does sitting-in-their-own-poop-crying like frustrated Rethugs.

12. The false equivalency thing kills me.

Especially that part about "moderate" Scott Brown being replaced by that 'liberal' Elizabeth Warren.
Like Brown isn't the crazy nutjob he actually is. Brown is a right wing corporate hack.

Elizabeth Warren is a consumer advocate and champion of the people not corporate stooges.

It's despicable.
