13. No.

Y2K was an actual issue that needed to be dealt with, the Mayan calender changing is not.

4. I'll be working.

Hopefully the world will wait until I get home to end.

Of course, I plan on waking up on December 22nd, and screaming, "FAIL!". This is going to be the biggest non-event since Y2K.

5. No one is publishing the fact that they found a new Mayan calendar

that goes on and on for hundreds of years.

Turns out all this 2012 stuff was just that they were looking at the wrong calendar.

So I'll be at work.

9. I will be panicking

Panic will set in when I realize that I put off my Christmas shopping until that date. I never get into it, until the last minute. And then a stop at the corner convenience store at Christmas for a Chia Pet, carton of smokes and a fifth of whiskey for the wife. And then off to sleeping on the sofa once again!!

12. Band's gigging that night.

Don't think anybody realized it was the end of the world when the show got booked. But yeah, should be fun, last rock show ever.

14. That's my wife's and my 21st anniversary.

We'll exchange modest gifts, then go to dinner in a restaurant we really can't afford. If history is any guide, we'll then come home and fall asleep very quickly, since there will be a couple of bottles of wine consumed during dinner.

The next morning, assuming we are not all swept away in a global cataclysm, I expect to have a mild hangover and a smile on my face.
