Question: How could a belief with its foundations of feeding the poor and comforting the needy

be usurped by those with intentions of degrading the poor and insulting the needy as they turn them away? The Tea Party/Republicans/Randians have wrapped themselves in the flag as they appear to carry a giant cross all the time while saying it's for Jesus.

Are the people who buy this shit really that stupid or are they really that uncaring and greedy?

People want a living wage. They want to support their own families. Greed and uncaring religious leaders. Starting with the like of Pat Robertson and Billy Grahman Jr.

4. They Must Not Have Read The Words On The Statue of Liberty

They will stand up for every pre game anthem...but step on or around the homeless/needy in the streets. They will wear their crosses and flag lapel pins with pride but grumble at those with tattered clothes who walk by. They will complain about those using food stamps or standing in line at a food pantry while chowing down on a $30 lunch.
It's easy to be smug when you have a job(or a company),have enough money,food and housing...but smugness,greed and hate is what's tearing down the real fabric of this country.
And when they do their reciting perhaps they should remember those final words "...with liberty and justice for all".
