I'm going to be honest, I doubt that Mitt got 47% of the vote

I honestly think he got alot less.

I'm thinking that the GOP and the minions in states like PA, OH, FL and a few other manages to siphon off enough votes in order to steal those states.

If we were able to count every single vote cast on election day I think Mitt only got about 43-45% of the votes.

He was not well liked and I know that the GOP tried extremely hard to disenfranchise millions of voters across the state in order to steal the election. Why else was Karl Rove SHOCKED they lost Ohio. Problem for them was the voter turn out was so much higher than expected that there wasn't enough vote stealing to overcome the turnout.

1. To add to your post, I think if we had, had a completely honest election the Democrats may

well have won the house back.

My worry from the get-go wasn't whether Obama could win, it was always can these ass-wipes with Roves help steal another election.

4. Well that wasn't vote stealing as much as gerrymandering

I read where votewise the total house democrat votes was more than the republican house votes. However thanks to Gerrymandering the GOP was able to win more seats.

2. just think, if everyone in those very long lines got to vote, along with everyone who was "purged."

The Obama Team was SO smart to plan less likely "no-fraud" paths to 270. That whole Rove deal - him thinking Ohio should be Romney's (and hey, where's our win), became moot....Obama didn't need it.

I think Romney's upset now. Not because he didn't win, necessarily, but because he thought god told him he was going to win and he didn't hear right.

3. I agree, if even he got that much. But I so love the

idea of it going down on the books as 47%

6. Dems better clean up voting while they can

and not keep the goddamn powder dry until they're completely out one of these times.

9. yeah

But see here? Even here on DU there are but a few who will even entertain your idea. I am afraid we have lost our democracy. We may never have another fair, honest election.

12. Are you one of those

people WillyT was referring to:

"But for some posters who've just arrived, and are hectoring the rest of us..."
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021858845

See, a lot of people, including me, will entertain the idea in the OP. The ridiculous gibberish that is the Anonymous claim...not so much. And this is coming from someone who believed the vote was hacked in 2004...different time and circumstances.

As for the OP, states find a lot of bogus reasons to throw out provisional ballots. The OP theory is plausible.

asking if the quote applies.

Didn't you accept it when it was said in that thread?

13. Ooh, I'm liking the trend:

U.S. Total: Mitt 47 percent
12 Swing States: Mitt 47 percent
Non-Swing States: Mitt 47 percent.

Yeah, I'm rounding down, which is where Mitt is heading and where he belongs.
