2. Much like East Tennessee

TVA and Oak Ridge made East Tennessee. But those people vote as if the government had been their worst enemy.

4. I Immediately Had Same Rxn As OP to OK's Political Profile Today -

Thanks for the reminder that this astounding. what, resentment at being "beholden" for government savior, is not limited to that state. TVA is another great example.

For that matter, here in Western WA I think celebration of the Grand Coulee Dam and the incredible irrigation system and crop-raising in former bone-dry area it makes possible in the eastern part of the state is widespread. Given the voting patterns in much of the area east-of-the-Cascades, however, I suspect there is a slightly less virulent related pandemic there. Those are all wholly self-made folks, never taking or needing a dime from the Federal Government.

3. He saved the whole country

but just like the farmers that continued using the same plow method as before the dust bowl, people today refuse to accept reality.
It's all about greed, being self centered and not about the long term effects of ones actions on themselves and others. Nothing has changed. We have not evolved far from our ancestors.
